Last week I ran my very first 'Walk & Talk' in Woodbridge and oh what a joy it was....but also it's really highlighted to me the importance of postnatal support. This is something that I am so well aware of, I mean really it is just such an important part of a positive journey in to motherhood, wether it's your first baby or your 5th!
The emotions that come as we evolve and adapt can leave us feeling overwhelmend and often alone. Are we the only ones that feel this way? Why does everytone else look like they have it all together? The contradictory emotions that come especially in the first few weeks can rock us to the core~ I love my baby, but I resent the lack of me time I now have, the joy in the small magical moment, those calm, reflective full of love and abunant feelings, but also feeling touched out, exhausted, overwhelmed to boiling point, or maybe adjusting to a new you, leaving behind the old you, wether that be the job, the clothes you now wear so breastfeeding is easier, or loosing precious time for your hobbie. But feeling guilty because you love you baby so much, and have longed for them for so long....no one said it would be this hard.
Lets face it postpartum, especially the 4th trimester (forst 12 weeks following birth) is a complete emotional rolla coaster. And this is where the walk and talk slots in, just one little element of postnatal support. A moment each week where mums can come together, chat, connect, meet new friends, support each other and realise the are not alone! Hey guys, were all here, we know it's tough, but also magic, and we are ready to hold you while you hold your baby and grow into mother hood.
We will meet each Wednesday in Wodbridge, come with bump or baby, slings and buggies all welcome. Free of charge (please just book via the link so I know who to expect (no mama left behind riiiight) and so I have the important emergency contact details.
We hope to see you there xxx
Love and Light,
Jasmine xxxx
