Last night we gathered again for my monthly Pregnancy & Birth Circle in Suffolk, held in the most beautiful, calming studio space at Vida Haus in Pettistree.
These evenings are something truly special.
They’re a chance to step away from the noise of everyday life, slow things down, and reconnect — with your body, your baby, and other women walking a similar path.
What is a Pregnancy Circle?
My monthly pregnancy circle in Suffolk is a 1.5 hour session designed to support you emotionally, physically, and mentally as you prepare for birth.
Each month is a little different, but always rooted in:
Connection
Education around birth and pregnancy
Gentle, pregnancy-safe movement
Creative, mindful activities
Deep relaxation
It’s not just an antenatal class — it’s a space to feel, to share, and to be held.
An Earth Day Inspired Circle 🌍
This month’s circle felt even more special as it fell on Earth Day, and we gently wove this theme throughout the evening.
We explored the idea of coming back to our natural instincts — something so important when preparing for birth. In a world full of noise and opinions, it can be easy to disconnect from that inner knowing, but birth so often asks us to return to it.
Our mandala art became a beautiful reflection of this. The circular shapes symbolised the earth, cycles, and the quiet reminder that we are not meant to do this alone — we are held within our own circles of support, just as nature holds us.
There was also space to reflect on how we want to feel during birth — not just what we think it will look like, but the emotions we want to carry with us. Calm, safe, supported, powerful… whatever that looks like for each individual.
What We Did This Month
Alongside our Earth Day focus, the evening had a calm, nurturing energy.
We:
Created our own pregnancy and postpartum bath soaks — something practical to take away and use for rest and recovery
Spent time with mandala art, allowing space for creativity and reflection
Shared open conversations around pregnancy and birth
Enjoyed herbal tea together (always a favourite part 🤍)
In previous circles, we’ve also created our own birth affirmations — powerful tools you can return to throughout pregnancy and during labour.
Movement, Breath & Letting Go
We gently moved our bodies with pregnancy-safe movement, helping to release tension and build awareness and trust in the body.
This is such an important part of preparing for birth — not just physically, but emotionally too.
Ending with Deep Relaxation (Hypnobirthing Inspired)
Every circle closes with a guided relaxation, something many women say is their favourite part of the evening.
As a qualified hypnobirthing teacher in Suffolk, I weave in hypnobirthing techniques and scripts to support:
A calm, positive mindset around birth
Letting go of fear or tension
Building confidence and trust in your body
Last night’s relaxation focused on creating a sense of safety and protection — something you can carry with you whenever you need it.
Why These Evenings Matter
Pregnancy can feel busy, overwhelming, and sometimes isolating.
These circles offer:
A chance to pause
A space to connect with other local mums-to-be in Suffolk
Tools to support a positive birth experience
Time to tune into your baby and your instincts
So often, women leave saying they feel lighter, calmer, and more grounded.
And that’s exactly what it’s about.
