The Positive Caesarean Workshop

Prepare calmly and get all the facts you need for informed decisions during your Casarean.

Maybe you’ve just been told your baby is breech. Maybe you’ve always known this is how your baby will arrive. Or maybe you’re planning a vaginal birth and want to feel prepared whichever way the day goes. Wherever you’re sitting right now, this workshop is for you – and your birth still gets to be yours.

When "birth plan" doesn't feel like it includes you

There’s a lot of noise around caesarean birth. Too often it’s spoken about as the thing that happens when birth goes wrong, or as something you simply have done to you. I don’t teach it that way, and I don’t believe it.

A caesarean is a birth. You’ll still meet your baby. You still have choices – far more of them than most people realise – about who’s with you, what you hear, what happens in the moments after your baby arrives, and how those first hours unfold.

What tends to make a caesarean feel frightening isn’t the surgery. It’s not knowing what’s coming. This workshop takes that away.

What actually happens: step by step, from arriving at the hospital to holding your baby, so nothing on the day is a surprise

Your choices: the “gentle caesarean” options many parents are never told about, and how to ask for them

Breathing and relaxation: hypnobirthing techniques adapted for a caesarean, useful before, during and after

Recovery: the first days and weeks, what to expect physically and emotionally, and how to ask for help

Who’s in the room: what each person is doing and why, so the theatre feels less overwhelming

Your birth partner’s role: what they can do, where they’ll be, and how to make sure they feel useful rather than helpless

The golden hour: skin to skin, delayed cord clamping, first feeds and what’s possible in theatre

What we cover

This is for you if…

You have a planned caesarean date and want to walk in feeling prepared, not braced

Your baby is breech or you’ve been told a caesarean is likely, and everything suddenly feels uncertain

You’re planning a vaginal birth but want to feel ready whatever happens on the day

A caesarean after a difficult birth

Some of the mamas who come to me have had a caesarean before and it didn’t go the way they hoped. If that’s you, this workshop is a chance to understand what happened, ask the questions you didn’t get to ask at the time, and prepare for something different.

We go at your pace. There’s no expectation that you talk about anything you’d rather not.

What's included

Three hours with me, one to one or with a small group

Your welcome pack, with course literature and a birth preferences template built for caesarean birth

Where and when

Held in my teaching space in Woodbridge, or online if that’s easier. I also travel across Suffolk for one-to-one sessions.

Questions about the workshop

No. Plenty of parents come because it’s a possibility rather than a plan.

Yes, if they can. So much of what we cover is about what they can do on the day, and they’ll get more out of it than they expect.

It builds on it. The breathing and relaxation will be familiar; everything else is specific to caesarean birth.

That’s exactly why it’s worth doing. Whatever happens, you’ll understand it.

Absolutely, and many do. Message me and I’ll help you work out the order.

However your baby arrives, you deserve to feel ready

The difference it makes

“My husband and I did not know the journey that lay ahead, but with Jasmine’s gentle encouragement, incredible knowledge and love for what she does we felt like we were in the safest hands possible.

Jasmine made the entire process seamless, her warmth, energy and kindness that she brought to every session made us feel at such ease. My husband was an incredible birthing partner and had really taken on board everything we were taught, for this I am eternally grateful. We thoroughly enjoyed the lessons and always looked forward to the next one, we couldn’t believe how much we learnt and how relaxed we were after each session. Jasmine made this journey of hypnobirthing so easy, answering our barrage of questions with such grace and clarity.

We had an incredibly positive induction, knowing knowledge is power and felt confident in making each decision along the way. We were able to use everything we had learnt from Jasmine throughout our labour. I love thinking back to the lead up of my birth and my labour, it really was an amazingly positive experience.

We cannot thank you enough for readying our greatest chapter in life so far.”
